PathMon
Platform

Windows
visible alongside your Linux fleet.

Most teams manage Windows and Linux separately - different tools, different dashboards, different processes. PatchMon brings Windows patch state into the same dashboard as your Linux and FreeBSD hosts. One view, one audit trail. Windows patch deployment is on the roadmap; Linux and FreeBSD deployment is automated today.

PatchMon - Windows inventory

How it works

Everything you need to know, at a glance.

Windows Update Integration

PatchMon's Windows agent integrates directly with Windows Update to track installed KBs, pending updates, and security patches. You see the same level of detail as your Linux hosts: what is installed, what is pending, what is critical. The agent reports directly to PatchMon.

  • Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2016+ supported
  • Installed KB tracking with security severity
  • Pending update detection and reporting
  • Same dashboard as your Linux and FreeBSD hosts

Application Inventory

Beyond OS updates, PatchMon tracks installed applications via WinGet (when available) or Windows registry enumeration. You get a complete software inventory alongside your package data - not just "is the OS patched?" but "what is installed and what version is it running?"

  • WinGet integration for modern application tracking
  • Registry-based fallback for servers without WinGet
  • Application version tracking across your Windows fleet
  • Unified with Linux package inventory in the same dashboard

Browser-Based RDP

PatchMon includes built-in RDP access through the browser. Click on any Windows host in the dashboard, open a session, and troubleshoot without a separate RDP client, VPN, or jump host.

  • Browser-based RDP: no thick client required
  • Sessions route through the agent without exposing RDP to the internet
  • Works alongside browser SSH for your Linux hosts
  • Single interface for remote access

Cross-Platform Visibility and Reporting

Windows hosts live in the same dashboard as your Linux and FreeBSD fleet. Unified inventory, unified compliance reporting, and a shared audit trail. Patch deployment is automated on Linux and FreeBSD today; Windows deployment is on the roadmap, and Windows patch state is visible now so you can see exactly where every host stands.

  • Unified visibility across Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD
  • Unified compliance reporting across all platforms
  • Alert routing that includes Windows host-down and patch failure events
  • One audit trail for your entire fleet
