openSUSE
zypper support is coming soon.

Package inventory and patching on openSUSE and SLES are coming soon. The agent installs on SUSE-family hosts, but it has no zypper backend yet, so package collection does not run. SUSE CIS datastreams ship with the server ready for when it does. You can follow and vote for zypper support on the PatchMon feedback portal.

PatchMon - SUSE-family host

How it works

Everything you need to know, at a glance.

OpenSCAP content is ready

CIS Level 1 and Level 2 Server datastreams for SLES and openSUSE ship with the PatchMon server, and the agent already maps SUSE-family hosts to the right profiles. Scans become usable on these hosts once zypper support lands and they can complete enrolment.

  • SLES and openSUSE CIS datastreams bundled with the server
  • SUSE-family detection already implemented in the agent
  • Scores and findings will live next to the rest of PatchMon

Inventory expectations

Package inventory is not available on SUSE-family hosts yet. The agent supports apt, dnf, yum, apk, pacman, pkg and Windows Update, and zypper support is coming soon. Until it lands, an agent installed on openSUSE or SLES will not complete its first package report.

  • zypper package collection is coming soon
  • Vote for it on the PatchMon feedback portal to help us prioritise
  • One agent for compliance and inventory once zypper support lands
